ZEN THOUGHTS: LIVING A BALANCED LIFE

Do you have days where you’ve tried everything, but something still seems, well, “off”? I have slowly come to the realization of the importance in my own life of scheduling out each part of what is important to our personal existence and trying to set aside dedicated time for each piece.

Though we are individuals this does not mean that we are lacking in complexity. In fact, it is through the moments of silence and quiet thought that we are given the gift of seeing the full complexities of ourselves.

Meditation is one area in which I have had to begin scheduling time for. A set time that allows for the finding of stillness and reflection in each day. Without this, I’m likely considered ‘less than pleasant’.

Challenge: Make sure to set time aside today to take care of yourself! Meditation is just one of the ways in which self-care is manifested in my life.

I thought I would share some of my meditation equipment that I’ve been utilizing lately. Both of these products come from the same brand – Tantra Sounds.

The Meditation Bolster Cushion and the Tibetan Singing Bowl are the two products that have been newly integrated into my practice.

I would recommend trying these out if they peak your interest – the cushion especially, as it has been the perfect size during meditation.

Specs on the Meditation Bolster include:

100% ORGANIC COTTON COVER – Removable & soft

ORGANIC BUCKWHEAT HULLS – Pliable

REMOVABLE – Zippered outer cover

ADJUSTABLE – Sealed pouch to insert/remove hulls

Specs on the Tibetan Singing Bowl:

“Pure sonic waves that ring from this Tibetan Singing Bowl will balance your third eye chakra – center of intuition and foresight.”

Hand hammered.

Made of 7 different metals: Copper, Iron, Tin, Lead, Zinc, Silver & Gold – Using genuine Tibetan techniques.
